A frustrated Khokhlov shares his trouble with the garage watchman, who offers to pull off a scam with the substitution of real money for fake ones. Khokhlov agrees to load counterfeit banknotes for a large amount into ATMs. Artyom witnesses the seizure of a fake bill from a girl in a supermarket, which he had just received at the store's ATM. Thus, the case falls to Artyom and Lena Brusnikina. Expert Innokenty recalls that only the deceased counterfeiter Filippov could produce such a "masterpiece".
