BiographyDavid John Mallow (October 19, 1948 – March 11, 2025) was an American voice actor, director, and writer whose versatile career spanned over five decades. Born in Park Ridge, Illinois and initially a radio personality in the Midwest and New York City, he transitioned to Los Angeles in 1984 to pursue voice acting. Mallow became notable for his work in animation and video games, lending his voice to iconic roles such as Baboo in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Angemon and Gekkomon in Digimon: Digital Monsters, Akuma in the Street Fighter franchise, and Herzog in the alternate-reality game I Love Bees. He was twice nominated at the 1st Annual American Anime Awards in 2007. After retiring in 2019, Mallow passed away at age 76 in Altadena, California, leaving behind a prolific legacy across multiple entertainment media.
