BiographyInel Tomlinson (born 4 September 1984) is an actor, TV personality and stand-up comedian from London, best known for being one half of Johnny and Inel alongside Johnny Cochrane, the UK's first black comedy double act. The duo are known on kids TV for their CBBC TV comedy show The Johnny & Inel Show and Junior Vets on Call. In 2015, the pair joined the Fubar Radio team and took over the airwaves with their Thursday afternoon 'Live & Loud' show. After a successful year at Fubar Radio, the duo were invited to join the all-new Virgin Radio UK lineup in a prime Friday night 7pm-11pm slot.

As a voiceover artist, Tomlinson voiced 'Rex' in CBeebies 'Footy Pups' and has voiced Agent A Gent in the CBBC Zig & Zag cartoon released in April 2016.

Tomlinson has also appeared on Videogame Nation and is a regular on the stand-up comedy circuit, performing around the country at gigs for Jongleurs, The Glee Club and many more.

His stand-up comedy experience led him to set up Kinetic Comedy, a lively multicultural monthly event that showcases the best up and coming comedy acts interspersed with games, competitions and music.

Since 2015, Tomlinson has appeared twice in the CBBC panel show The Dog Ate My Homework. In April 2017, he appeared in a promotional video for the return of PaRappa the Rapper.

He appeared in Deborah Isitt’s 2022 film Christmas on Mistletoe Farm as Mo, along with Scott Garnham, Kathryn Drysdale and Ashley Jensen.

The Ministry of Time

The Ministry of Time, a newly established government department, is gathering ‘expats' from across history in an experiment to test the viability of time-travel. Commander Graham Gore (an officer on Sir John Franklin's doomed 1845 Arctic expedition) is one such figure rescued from certain death – alongside an army captain from the fields of the Somme, a plague victim from the 1600s, a widow from revolutionary France, and a soldier from the seventeenth century.

The expats are placed with 21st century liaisons, known as 'bridges', in unlikely flatshares. Gore has to learn about contemporary life from scratch: from air travel to industrial warfare, from feminism to Spotify, from cinema to indoor plumbing; and he must negotiate cohabiting with the ambitious modern woman who works as his bridge. After an awkward beginning, the pair start to find pleasure and comfort in each other's company, developing a relationship that is simultaneously tender, intense and profoundly unprofessional; and the expats, adrift in a new era, form friendships that ground and support them in the lonely 21st century, where they have outlived everyone they ever knew and loved.

When a deeper conspiracy at the Ministry begins to reveal itself, the bridge must reckon with what she does next. Will she save or sacrifice the exiled misfits she has come to care for so deeply?
