This episode is all about Vintage. The first cut challenge gives four designers the task of repurposing a green polyester 70s jumpsuit into a sexy cocktail dress. The theme of vintage continues into the 24 hour challenge, as the second trunk contains vintage newspapers from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The two designers who make it through to this challenge must use these newspapers, both as inspiration and as a design element, to create a cohesive collection inspired by each decade. Lioness, inspired by an actual U.S. Military program, follows the life of Joe while she attempts to balance her personal and professional life as the tip of the CIA's spear in the war on terror. The Lioness Program, overseen by Kaitlyn Meade and Donald Westfield, enlists an aggressive Marine Raider named Cruz to operate undercover alongside Joe among the power brokers of State terrorism in the CIA's efforts to thwart the next 9/11.
