In the first show of the new series, couple Janice (72) and Roland (72) from Derbyshire are hoping they can walk away with the top prize so they can fulfil their dream trips, Roland is hoping to take a relaxing narrow boat trip but partner Janice would like to hire a Harley Davidson and travel around America.
Competing against Janice and Roland is mother and daughter, Katy (26) and Wendy (53) from Suffolk who, if they win, will put it towards a family home in Belize in the USA.
Viewers will also get the chance to play along with the action by downloading the 5 Gold Rings App. They'll be able to answer the exact same questions as the contestants in the studio and also have the chance to see how their scores match up with other players across the country.

Episode 2
In the second show of the new series, brother and sister Mikie, 41 years old from Warrington and Sharon, 44 years old from Exeter are hoping they win the jackpot so they can embark on a much needed holiday. The pair have recently rekindled their relationship after 30 years apart after being adopted as children. The pair are hoping to put any winnings towards a holiday together to make up for lost time, but they both have very different ideals. Mikie's dream trip is to feed big cats in Africa whilst his sister would prefer to go snowboarding!
Competing against Mikie and Sharon are friends, Duncan, 42 (years old) from Cornwall and Dave 34 (years old) from Devon. The petty officers from the Royal Navy are hoping the Navy mantra, courage, commitment, discipline, respect and integrity will be the skills they need to walk away with the top prize.

Episode 3
On tonight's show, Mandy, 51 (years old) and son Tim, 26 (years old) from Ammanford, South Wales are hoping they have what it takes to walk away with the jackpot. Mum Mandy says that she's the ‘brains' but is hoping rugby playing son Tim's tactical gameplay will help them secure a place in the final.
Up against the mother and son are longtime friends Mark, 40 (years old) and James, 39 (years old) from Worthing in Sussex & Hove. The pair have been close friends since they were kids, were best men at each other's weddings and even have tattoos of each other on their arms. If they win, Mark is hoping to treat his wife to ballroom dancing lessons, whilst Neil may invest in a new tattoo.

Episode 4
On tonight's show, father and son Jeff, 58 from Jersey and Danny, 29 from Rugby are hoping their shared love of competing, quizzes and education teamed with their steely determination to win, will help them walk away with the jackpot.
Competing against them are friends Debbie, 53 and Ruth, 46 from Leicestershire. The pair first met 23 years ago and have been best friends ever since. They admit to knowing each other inside out and are confident that mutual love of problem solving, will help them walk away with the top prize.

Episode 5
This week, best friends Daniel and Alex face partners Stephanie and Jimmy. They're competing for up to £25,000 but only one team can leave with the money.

Episode 6
This week, sisters Soraya and Sonya face husband and wife Geoff and Lyn. They're competing for up to £25,000 but only one team can leave with the money.
