DI Carter admits that he arranged for Nicky to be offered the bribe, he is testing to see which of his detectives is bent.Nicky suspects that a young woman who had been raped had her drink spiked with GHB. Heorganises an undercover sting at a nightclub.At the same time, Carter is planning the arrest of an armed robber and insists on having Nicky with him at the arrest.But when the tip off comes, Nicky is still in the nightclub and Carter has to meet the gunman himself. He is shot and Nicky is faced with the possibility that Carter has been betrayed.
