He also meets a 45-year-old resident who started smoking crack at 17 and now lives alone in a housing association flat.

In Birmingham, Ed moves in with a local in one of Ladywood's tower blocks and meets a mum-of-three who's claiming benefits and resorting to food banks to feed her family

On the Easterhouse estate in Glasgow, Ed meets the locals who've been hit hard by the cost-of-living crisis and are facing the daily effects of high levels of drug use
