The Johnston family is stepping into uncharted territory as the kids grow into adulthood and life brings new challenges and joys for everyone. Liz and Brice are soaking up every moment of parenthood as their baby daughter, Leighton hits millstone after milestone from her first swimming lesson to her first day of daycare, her first birthday and more. Through it all, Liz and Brice are still figuring out the ins and outs of parenting as they chart their own course together as a family unit, including potentially purchasing property and talk of getting engaged.

The Big One, Minus One
The family preps for Leighton's first birthday and looks back on this past year with her; Liz reunites with her friends for a girls night out; the family celebrates Leighton but emotions are bittersweet as one family member is obviously missing.

What the Duck?
The family embarks on cooking an Asian style Thanksgiving meal. Emma and Liz discuss the recent drama with Anna that happened over social media. Trent puts pressure on the boys. Amidst ongoing tension with her family Anna spends Thanksgiving alone.

Away in a Manger
The Johnstons put together a live nativity set for their annual Christmas card. Anna does her own Christmas photos with her dogs and struggles with being distant from her family during the holidays. Trent and Amber come up with a plan to meet Anna.

Ring in the New Year?
The family brings in the new year with a game of charades and a countdown at noon! Liz and Brice move into their own home with the help of some housewarming gifts from the family. Trent and Amber meet with Anna for the first time in months.
