Vadim's cousin Mikhail, in love with Svetlana, takes care of her. He manages to convince Vadim to leave the girl so as not to ruin her life, and he proposes to Sveta. Realizing that she cannot cope alone with a baby in her arms, she agrees. Svetlana gives up love and gives all of herself to her son. But when Vadim is released and appears in her life again, Sveta realizes that her feelings for him have not faded away...
