Police Constable Ben, Special Constable Dave and Paramedic Mark are sent to deal with a driver who has crashed into another car and is behaving strangely. He passes a breath test - but when they carry out a field impairment test to check if he is fit to drive, the results are a cause for concern.
Ben makes a startling discovery in the man's car – a bag of capsules containing brown powder – and a further search reveals other substances that could be drugs.
In North Kent, a lorry crashes into a railway bridge, and Special Sergeant Robbie and paramedic Natalie are sent to investigate and treat any possible injuries. Strangely, there is no sign of the driver, but the lorry's owner has already made it to the location, he has the vehicle keys, but claims he has no idea who was driving. A teenage witness says he saw the driver running off – and Special Sergeant Jon arrives with some crucial CCTV footage.
On the A2 there's been a three-car smash in rush hour, and Special Chief Inspector Scott and Paramedic Mark head there to deal with any injuries. With a big traffic jam building and spreading back onto the M25, the pressure is on to get the road reopened as soon as possible.
And when another car crash is called in, paramedic Chelsea, special Inspector Kevin and special Constable Jodie race to the scene to find the man unresponsive. They interview witnesses who have had to smash the car window to get him out, and Chelsea is struggling to work out what caused him to black out.
