A truck driver is trapped in his crushed cab after a motorway smash and the team are forced to consider amputation.

Hundreds of sleeping people are in danger as a massive fire sweeps through an industrial site - and the medics must brave toxic smoke to save them. On a freezing night in the outskirts of Leeds, a man is feared to be trying to commit suicide on the remote banks of canal. Paramedics Johnny and James are sent to save him.

In Hull, firefighters are forced to handcuff a man to the rails of the Humber Bridge after he tries to throw himself into the waters of the estuary, 250ft below. A patient with a brain tumour is trapped in her own home after she suffers life-threatening seizures and Charlie team must rescue her from a cramped upstairs bedroom.

In Leeds, a man plunges off a motorway bridge, breaking both his legs and the team must restore blood-flow to his feet. And a school trip to the woods ends in agony for a teacher when he falls and injures his ankles on a steep slope. The HART team deploy their rope rescue equipment to haul him to safety.
