After Supreme Court's Nan Fengyi and the female broker Meng Xizhou meet because of a crime, she becomes apprenticed to him and they begin catching demons together. Just as their relationship is getting deeper, the demon king of Meng Xizhou appears in person and she is bewitched and controlled by the inner demon. Nanfeng Yi also discovers he has the demonic core that Meng Xizhou has lost for many years in his body. In order to save his sweetheart, Nanfeng Yi cuts off the core and returns it. He also spends the last of his life joining hands with Meng Xizhou to resist evil and free innocent beings.
