LUNG can see that LAO is getting more and more ambitious. To play it safe, he suggests weakening LAO’s power. LAO tells KATE that JING is going to weaken his power. KATE then tries to find a way to cope with it. KATE persuades EMPEROR QIN to give CHANG an honour for her chastity, which is strongly opposed by LUNG. CHANG asks LUNG why he dislikes KATE’s idea but LUNG does not say a word. HIN suggests LUNG should reveal his love to CHANG if he is really fond of her. LUNG discloses to CHANG that he comes from the modern world but CHANG does not believe what he says. She thinks LUNG is just looking for an excuse to turn her down. HIN somewhat believes LUNG and decides to do a test to see if it is true. EMPEROR QIN suspects KATE and LUI are still carrying on an affair. LAO therefore is going to make LUI a scapegoat. KATE asks LUI to meet her at her bedroom. While LUI is giving KATE a hug, EMPEROR QIN just comes in.… ...
