In Barnsley, farmers Rob and Dave Nicholson pick sloes from their farm hedgerows before turning them into artisanal chocolate. JB Gill takes a trip to the rolling hills of Wales, visiting a farmer reaping the rewards from a rather unusual diversification - making medicine from daffodils. And on his farm in the Cotswolds, Adam Henson works hard looking after his native pigs, who are some of the rarest breeds in the UK.

Episode 2
Cameras reveal how people take stock in winter. At Cannon Hall Farm, heritage and tradition are the order of the day as the farmers explore their woodland and plant new trees for future generations to enjoy. And Jules Hudson embraces the healing power of nature with a woodland walk in the Forest of Dean.

Episode 3
A celebration of farming across the country and throughout the seasons. JB Gill takes a trip to North Ronaldsay to meet fifth-generation sheep farmers tending to an ancient breed dating back over 6,000 years. There's an emergency at Cannon Hall Farm as Rob and Dave must act fast to save the life of a short horn calf in distress. Yorkshire Vet Peter Wright and farmer Roger hit the road with a trip to the Oban cattle auction.
