New pope selected: White smoke has risen above the Sistine Chapel, the signal that cardinals have chosen a new pope on the second day of the conclave. His identity, and the name he will take as pontiff, will be revealed soon. Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost has been selected as the 267th pope in history. He is the first American to serve in the role and chooses the name Leo XIV.

Pentagon Holds Press Conference after Iran Strikes
The U.S. attack on Iran's nuclear sites was a complex mission that used decoy bombers and "misdirection" to carry out the secret operation, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said at a news conference Sunday morning.
Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Dan Caine, standing with Hegseth, said the mission was a "complex and high-risk mission" that was known to only a few people and relied on decoys to protect the integrity of the mission.
Decoy B-2 stealth bombers flew over the Pacific toward Guam on Saturday to draw attention away from the mission, Caine said. News reports at the time reflected the movements.

Judge Tosses Indictments Against James Comey and Tish James
A federal judge has dismissed the criminal cases against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, on the grounds that the appointment of the U.S. attorney who brought the indictments was invalid.
The judge dismissed the charges without prejudice, meaning the Justice Department can attempt to indict them again.

The Rob Reiner Story: A Hollywood Tragedy
Following the tragic news of the deaths of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, the one-hour special tells the story of the life of the beloved director, producer and actor and his wife, a photographer, producer and writer known for her work in documentary and political activism. The special provides a detailed look at the investigation into the killings and the impact Reiner had on television and film history, from his starring roles in "All in the Family" to directing hits such as "This Is Spinal Tap," "A Few Good Men" and "When Harry Met Sally."
The timely special will share the latest on the arrest of the couple's son, Nick Reiner, who was taken into custody on Sunday night after the Reiners were found dead in their Brentwood home and booked on suspicion of murder in the deaths of his parents as of Monday. At the time of this release, Nick has not yet entered a plea. Nick's long history of addiction brought father and son to work together in 2015 on the family drama "Being Charlie," about the challenges their family faced. Nick co-wrote the script while Rob directed the film.
The special includes interviews with actor Corey Feldman, who starred in Reiner's film "Stand By Me," as well as ABC News contributor Chris Connelly and ABC News contributor and journalist Larry Hackett.
