Investigating the accusations of torture, rape and exploitation made by Ellie Williams against an Asian grooming gang operating in Barrow-in-Furness in May 2020 that turned out to be false, focussing on the repercussions of her actions that included a racial divide in the area and death threats sent to men who were wrongly believed to be involved.

Episode 2
In a bizarre turn of events, former leader of the English Defence League Tommy Robinson arrives in Barrow to visit the men accused of being involved in the grooming gang. Amidst escalating online rumours and evidence shared online by Ellie's family, the police investigation casts serious doubt on the claims and Ellie is arrested leaving everyone questioning what they thought they knew.

Episode 3
Two years after the original Facebook post that accused several men of child sex trafficking and rape, Ellie Williams stands trial for nine counts of perverting the course of justice but there is still a deep racial divide in Barrow and the men accused are left to repair their reputations.
