Zehra cannot sleep at night and texts Leyla to talk. But she sends the text to Ömer by mistake and Ömer gets up in the living room and thinks Zehra finally wants to talk. She comes out all frazzled and says I just wanted to make sure you have everything and goes back to sleep. Ömer is disappointed.
In the morning Zehra returns with shopping to Leyla's house and realizes she has forgotten her keys. Ömer is asleep and takes a while to open the door. They set up the table and Ömer wants to talk at the breakfast table but again Leyla calls and tells them they are returning so they have to quickly leave.
At home Müzeyyen and Ayşe give a gift to Zehra to make up for the past week. It is a framed photograph of Ömer and Zehra holding hands. Zehra thanks them and takes it to the room and puts it on the dresser. She feels the weight of lying to these nice people in her life. Ömer gets Hediye to serve breakfast for them on the verandah and Zehra applauds him for handling the Fikriye situation well. Ömer talks about his childhood and how he has preserved the House just as his grandfather first built it to preserve the memories. Zehra notes he says nothing about his mother.
Mehtap follows Beton and sees him talking to a lady and thinks she is his girlfriend. Mehtap is very jealous.
Nihat goes to Ömer in the study and talks about the celebration of their anniversary. Nihat leaves the diamond ring he has bought for Ayşe on the table and goes off to answer a phone call. Ömer sees Zehra in the yard and goes to her. Zehra is about to talk to Leyla about Ömer and her feleings. Ömer arrives and wants to talk to her so she hangs up. But Ayşe comes and tells them she is getting ready for the evening. Zehra uses getting ready as an excuse to run away again.
Alev finds the ring in the study and thinks Ömer has got it for Zehra so she takes it. Nihat comes looking for it and it is not there. He and Cevriye are looking for it desperately. When Alev realizes it is his, she puts it back in the study somewhere on the floor. Nihat finally finds it and asks Ömer and Zehra to come in the living as he is going to give it to Ayşe right away.
They both go there. Everyone is gathered. Nihat begins expressing his love for Ayşe ready to put the ring on her finger when Alev tells Zehra the diamond ring is said to be a symbol of love and marriage, but I have not seen one on your hand. Ömer goes to Zehra all annoyed with Alev. He takes Zehra's hand in his and says watch what you say to my wife. He also adds that their love needs no symbols.
