The One That Got Away
When Lazarus, an African king proposes to Margo to become his sixth wife, she turns to Sam for advice on how to decline the offer.

Children in Chains
Rory and Jam discover that children are being forced to work in a clandestine mining operation.

Swing Vote
Margo runs for a seat on the council against Cain, a politically incorrect opponent (Michael Bruner). Cain has an interest; he is a businessperson who wants to build a paper factory in the Anobi valley. Indeed, it would bring fifty workplaces to the village; however, the nature might barely stand this project. Margo becomes the defender of nature.

Extinct is Forever
Rory, Jam and Raimund investigate the killing of a black rhinoceros.

Market Day
The harvest market is a big event every year. Jam and Rory set up a tent for selling iced chocolate bars. Margo tries to help Xhau, a local man (Sarel Bok) find a liver donor for his daughter.

Woman Alone
Margo tries to persuade Isha, a native woman (Leleti Khunalo) not to return to her abusive husband by offering her shelter at the ranch.

Ancient History
Raimund has an uneasy reunion with Tina, his long-estranged daughter (Claudine Wilde), who is in town to work on an archaeological dig.

Questions of the Heart
Margo tries to prevent Acanco from mining in the "healing garden," an area that's home to a rare plant.

A Bone to Pick
Rory, Jam and Tina try to dig up dirt on McMahon, a crooked archaeologist (Graham Hopkins) desperate to get a grant.

Ties That Bind
Rory discovers that the brother of Kate's, his love interest is a racist who is involved in a gang.

Diamonds Aren't Forever
Lucy finds a diamond in the Muruti River. Rory and Jam try to keep it secret, but inadvertently Klee, the store clerk who runs to tell everybody awaking the villagers' greed, overhears them.

Baby Talk
Rory and Jam find an abandoned elephant calf and decide to keep it at the ranch while they search for its mother. Rory endeavors himself to learn the language of the elephants.

The Writing on the Wall
Dean, a bibulous Literature teacher, who urges the boy to write poetry, fascinates Rory. Yet Margo questions his educational methods when Dean expels Rory from the Poetry Club.

Payback
Jam becomes awestruck by horseback riding after having a dream where he wins a race. Meanwhile, Margo wonders why Wallace is giving her away a horse named Payback.

Pet Shop Boys
Raimund tracks down a poacher. Rory and Jam find jobs at a pet shop.

The Lion Sleeps Tonight
Jam's worst fears are realized when he is trapped in a ravine with a lion.

Samson and Charley
Samson the Great, a circus performer and animal trainer and Charley, his chimpanzee disrupt life at Freedom Ranch for Rory and Jam when the two boys attempt to court some young women.

Fear of Wages
Cholera breaks out after heavy rains cause the water supply to become contaminated. Rory has bought a rundown jeep from Klee, and he sees a chance to use his vehicle to save a faraway village by taking precious medical supplies against cholera.

Pressure Zone
An engineering student with bright ideas---and a dark secret---works with Margo on an irrigation project.

Road to Nowhere
Margo agrees to help build a road to enable a village to receive famine relief.

Head in the Sand
Margo is accused by Mathilda of putting a curse on her nearby ostrich farm after failing to gain access to the property.

Noah and the Arc
Freedom Ranch becomes a temporary shelter for injured animals after a rehabilitation center closes. All of this happens because a severe tax auditor, Noah, unlike his namesake, doesn't like animals and cannot accept the functionality of an Animal Rehabilitation Center, known by the initials A.R.C.

Natural Beauty
Emma, a former schoolmate of Margo's, pays a visit. She is willing to produce a promotional film in Africa. The colorful landscape is exactly the right scenery for her cosmetics promotion. However, in the course of her tour through wilderness Emma finds serious problems.

Star Turn
A distinguished actor (John Kani) returns to his homeland to organize a theater company.

Poker Face
Sam tries to fight off a corporate takeover by a former friend out to avenge a past wrong.
