Season 2
The second series of After the Flood finds newly promoted detective Jo Marshall on the trail of a baffling murder investigation. As tensions simmer in Waterside amid the rising threat of moorland fires and the subsequent risk of further flooding, a body is discovered in bizarre circumstances. Jo's race to stop the killer will put her in opposition to dark, influential forces within the town, and ultimately take her on a much more personal investigation. One that will require her to operate in secret if she is to have any hope of rooting out the corruption that has blighted the town's police force - and her own family - for decades.
Episodes

Episode 1
The mystery thriller returns, picking up a year after the events of the first series. Jo is now a detective and is investigating a case in which an unconscious man was found in a burning pile of fly-tipped waste. When the man later dies and a similar incident takes place, Jo is under pressure to find the potential killer before more people die.

Episode 2
As Jo and Sam struggle to find a link between Xav Palmer and Todd Drake, the discovery of the murder weapon shifts attention to the prominent landowning Benson family.

Episode 3
When Jo discovers that the two dead men and an accomplice targeted a nearby chemical company, she must find this third person before it's too late.

Episode 4
Jo and Sam find themselves with two surprising suspects in custody while the pressure mounts on Sergeant Mackie when he makes a discovery that turns everything on its head.

Episode 5
Donna makes some interesting admissions whilst being questioned, Sergeant Mackie's acts become apparent and Jo takes matters into her own hands.

Episode 6
Declan is located and Sergeant Mackie catches up with Jo.
