In the first of ten programmes, Aeroflot supervisor Jeremy Spake's patience is tested by a motorway tailback.

The flags are out for England's returning World Cup football team.

Episode 3
Aer Lingus supervisor Siobhan Feeney has lost luggage and fraud problems to contend with, while animal health officer Stuart King tries capturing two birds.

Episode 4
The airport's pressmen are hot on the trail of the Spice Girls as the band jet off to start their world tour. Counter-terrorist officers Alison and Terry are under pressure on the firing range.

Episode 5
Animal health officer Stuart King has a close encounter with an angry rottweiler and the pressmen jostle to greet Tony Blair at the opening of Heathrow's rail link.

Episode 6
Jeremy has his first flying lesson with a veteran army pilot. Siobhan deals with a broken luggage belt and some irate passengers, and a counter-terrorism exercise takes place.

Episode 7
The resourcefulness of Aeroflot supervisor Jeremy Spake is tested when he realises one of his flights is considerably overbooked. Meanwhile animal health officer Stuart King has a close encounter with a spitting cobra, and there's a surprise for immigration officer Rob Scott when he interviews a Brazilian passenger who has been refused entry to Switzerland and France.

Episode 8
It's nighttime at Heathrow, but there's no sleep for animal health officer Stuart King as he tries to cope with 4,000 budgerigars. Meanwhile, beds are needed for an Albanian family seeking political asylum and the press turn out for the return from America of Louise Woodward.

Episode 9
Jeremy Spake is in celebratory mood as a brand new plane joins the Aeroflot fleet, and a grubby passport arouses the suspicions of the immigration officers.

Episode 10
Jeremy Spake boards a plane bound for Moscow - but one of his fellow passengers wants to go to Paris. Last in the series. A Christmas edition of Airport can be seen next month.
