Diana ist von Julians Entschluss, sich von Jenny zu trennen, und auch einen beruflichen Neuanfang zu wagen, sehr gerührt und träumt von einer glücklichen Zukunft. Doch Jenny sucht mit Hilfe ihrer Mutter eine letzte Möglichkeit, um das Liebesglück der beiden endgültig zu vereiteln. Endlich ist Axels Werben um Simone von Erfolg gekrönt. Doch sie sieht in ihm allenfalls einen Gelegenheitslover, während Axel sich schon durch die Liaison als neuen Chef des Steinkamp-Imperiums sieht. Axel ahnt nicht, dass Simone und Richard mehr zusammenhält, als nur das Geschäft. Dieter passt es überhaupt nicht, dass Jutta jetzt das Familieneinkommen sichert und er den Hausmann mimen muss. Zudem ist ihm der Imbissbesitzer Keule ein Dorn im Auge.
