The border province Haruto calls home has been plagued by thieves. Haruto tries to investigate in secret, only to end up arousing suspicion from his sister Charlotte. But all of that is about to change when the thieves go after Charlotte herself!

Haruto is suddenly faced with Charlotte's constant affection, which he finds a welcome change, albeit one that will take some getting used to. But what Haruto finds more troubling is Charlotte's new burgeoning obsession... with Japanese anime?!

Haruto continues to fight villains by night in costume for Charlotte's entertainment. One night, he stumbles upon a group of magicians, but he soon finds that their presence is just the beginning of a much greater, darker conspiracy...

Haruto, in the guise of the Black Knight, appears before the queen in her chamber, determined to put an end to her schemes. But Queen Gizelotte proves to be more powerful than anyone Haruto has faced before, with a secret weapon up her sleeve...

Liza begins working at the castle, and quickly becomes assigned as Charlotte's personal maid. Meanwhile, Charlotte learns a shocking truth, and convenes a clandestine meeting with those sworn to protect Haruto: the Knights of the Round Table!

Haruto sets off for the royal capital with Liza as his attendant. Along the way, they run across a horse-drawn bus being attacked by a ferocious beast. And one of the passengers happens to be a mysterious woman who's hiding a secret or two...

Haruto's scheme to get kicked out of school backfires, and he happens to catch the attention of one of his professors. Elsewhere, Haruto's copy happens to run into Iris, as well as trouble in the form of the student council vice president.

Much to his chagrin, Haruto finds himself the center of attention throughout the school after his run-in with Schneidel. While trying to decide which department to enroll in, Haruto encounters Iris yet again, who has a favor to ask of him...

Haruto must finally face what he's been dreading for so long: his first day of classes. While he would love nothing more than to get unceremoniously kicked out of school, Haruto only ends up earning some unwanted scrutiny from a new teacher!

Haruto's copy attends a welcoming party held by Professor Tearietta, in celebration of Haruto and Iris joining the research lab. Unbeknownst to the partygoers, Schneidel has sent an elite group of assassins to eliminate everyone present!
