Ana e os Sete is a sitcom, designed for family entertainment, whose central theme is family, youth, and childhood conflicts.
Henrique Vilar is a distinguished banker who became a widower about a year ago and has seven children aged between six and seventeen. Since his wife's death, he has been looking for a governess to take care of his children's education, but they are not very interested in having someone in their mother's place, always devising schemes that cause the candidates to leave after a few days.
Ana Cruz is a very attractive woman who has always dreamed of being an actress, but has had little luck in the art of acting, despite competing in all the auditions. Advised by Tino, her best friend and long-time boyfriend, she supports herself as a stripper at the Chicago Club, where she anxiously awaits a film producer who will see her and recognise her talent. Tired of her current life and aware that her job as a stripper won't last forever, Ana goes to an employment agency where a mix-up occurs, and she's directed to the Vilar Mansion, where the 16th nanny has just left!
