A month after his wife's death, Max is tasked with investigating the disappearance of a teenage girl. Meanwhile, his daughter, Wendie, returns to high school and tries to resume her normal life with her friends. But a strange disappearance turns everything upside down.

While Max, Lucie, and Jean-Guy organize a search party to find Gwen, Wendie flatly rejects what's happening to her. But when Léa and Nathan tell her they've found a way to communicate with her grandmother, the teenager finally resigns herself to helping them.

While Max narrowly escapes death, Lucie and Jean-Guy investigate the violent and disconcerting attack on a minibus. Meanwhile, Wendie, Léa, and Nathan dig deeper into the symbol drawn by Mammig. But while they find valuable clues, they are trapped inside the retirement home...

Wendie, Léa, and Nathan research the founding families of Harz and learn more about the folklore and mythology that inspired the culprit. Max and Lucie set up a stakeout to keep a close eye on their only suspect.

Refusing to believe the case is closed, Max loses his footing. Wendie, meanwhile, uncovers secrets surrounding her mother's death and confronts her father. This gives them the opportunity to revisit Sarah's final day and the causes of her death.
