Moment of Madness

After witnessing a fight outside a pub following a 21st birthday party, Craig Rennie and Stephen Prince set off to walk home with friends around midnight. Shortly afterwards a car ploughed into the group, killing Craig outright and leaving Stephen seriously injured and in a coma. The driver, Michael Ganson, was a local man involved in the fight the boys had witnessed. He admits hitting the boys, but despite a previous conviction for driving directly at a police officer, Michael claims this was an accident - he was on his mobile phone while driving.
