Elsewhere, Angelo's daughter and aspiring singer Maria thinks she has a shot at fame when she hears of a vacancy in a band. And married police officers Karen and Dave visit a fertility clinic.

Maria meets Kris at the auditions for The X Factor; Dave and Karen turn to Dave's brother Kevin for help in conceiving a baby and Shelley terrifies another customer in her cab.
Episode 3
Angelo sets up a suggestion box for his customers; Maria is shocked to hear of Mickey's infidelity; Shelley tracks down her old boyfriend and Karen thinks she might be pregnant.
Episode 4
Angelo seeks female companionship in the form of Russell's sister, Angela; Kris works up the courage to ask Maria on a date and Dave lands himself in hot water with his fireman friend.
Episode 5
Angelo weighs up an offer to buy his café; Maria alienates her friends by falling in with a group of art students; Kris avoids an old acquaintance and Karen and Dave attend Kevin's party.

Angelo plans a mural for the cafe; Maria's modelling career gets off to a rocky start at the student fashion show; Shelley and Alicia form an unlikely bond, and Karen has some news for Dave.
