Vets need to perform alife-saving caesarean section on a lemur whose pregnancy has beome a medical emergency A protective white lion looks on as keepers attempt to vaccinate her cubs.

Jenny the eland's calf seems to be stuck after four hours of labour at West Midland Safari Park. At Colchester Zoo, a couple of aardvarks are close to their due date.

Keepers working at Woburn Safari Park are getting ready for some new arrivals as three pregnant bongo antelopes get close to their due dates. Five young black North American bear cubs are also due to arrive at the park from Denmark. An English bull terrier requires surgery for a very painful birth in Cheshire whilst a hand-reared meerkat at Chessington is introduced to its new family.

Etna the cheetah should give birth anytime soon, but they are worried that she has no visible baby bump. The team attempt to reunite a mother fox with her cub.

Everybody is feeling nervous at Banham Zoo where the team awaits the birth of some rare Sumatran tiger cubs. After a baby kangaroo is rejected by his mum, keepers are left with no choice but to hand-rear him.

Frankie the giraffe is being pestered for milk at Woburn by all the other young giraffes and her newest baby cannot get in to feed. Staff at Chester Zoo are desperate to protect the remaining babies in the elephant herd having lost two youngsters to the fatal elephant herpes virus.
