Fairbanks, Alaska is home to some of the harshest weather conditions in North America. When driving conditions become treacherous and motorists become stranded, three towing companies are called on to pull them to safety: Borealis, Ron's and Lucky 7.
Dead in the Water
Frozen rivers used as roads have become death traps for the reckless drivers that try crossing. Ron's, Borealis, and Lucky 7 are called on to rescue drivers on the verge of falling through. One false move and they could plunge through the ice below.
Bracing for the Storm
A winter storm warning is in effect for Fairbanks and the recovery teams of Ron's, Borealis and Lucky 7 brace for what it could bring. The forecast calls for severe shifts in weather, making driving on the treacherous Alaskan roads even more dangerous.
The Thaw
Warm weather leads to more accidents on the roads as motorists try to take advantage of the unseasonable rise in the temperature.

Over the course of several weeks, episodes capture each couple's journey as they go from wedding, to honeymoon, to early nesting, to the daily struggle of working on their marriage. After several weeks together, each couple must make a decision: do they remain together or decide to divorce?
