Abhilash starts preparing for his final attempt at IAS from Mukherjee Nagar and realises the lack of right emotional balance in his preparation and life. DM Abhilash finds himself in a catch-22 situation as his old foe, from Mukherjee Nagar, Pawan returns as DM Sambhal to compete for the Education Town project. At home Abhilash and Deepa's parents are in no mood to wait for their wedding.

The rivalry between young Abhilash & Pawan reaches its boiling point on the last day of the mains exam. In the present, DM Abhilash decides against giving up the Education Town project in Rampur resulting in DM Pawan expressing his concerns about the system unabashedly.
