The trip to Monaco is the ninth of the 14-round series, and with the Rio 2016 Olympics looming large, athletes are keen to shine. World 200m champion Dafne Schippers is one of the big names on show - the flying Dutchwoman races over 100m in Monaco, just days after defending her European title in Amsterdam. And reigning world champion Genzebe Dibaba returns to the Stade Louis II track - the Ethiopian set a 1500m world record at this meeting last year.

Gabby Logan presents highlights of the Lausanne, Switzerland, leg of the 2016 Diamond League, the first meeting since the conclusion of the Olympics. Athletissima has been a permanent fixture on the athletics calendar since its inception in 1977, and this year will boast several medallists from the Rio Olympics and recent European Championships. Amongst the highlights 12 months ago were Mo Farah's victory in the 5,000m, Justin Gatlin winning the 100m and Allyson Felix's triumph in the women's 200m.

Great Britain's women have enjoyed huge success in the team event winning the last three titles in a row, while they have also claimed individual medals at the last three championships. 2015 also saw medal success for the British men who won team bronze, while Jonathan Davies claimed the under-23 title as GB topped the medal table for the 13th consecutive year.
