In Ohio, Judy and Jaden bring in Michael after he hurts his hand trying to run. In Louisiana, Tina and Darnell arrest Mick, who likes to raise turtles. In North Carolina, John and Kay's fugitive, James, insists that lipstick is made out of chicken blood.

In Ohio, Judy and Jaden arrest Joseph, a bitter, petty shoplifter. In Louisiana, Tina and Darnell pick up Trinity, a talented artist trying to make a better life. In North Carolina, John and Kay take in Vickie, a nurse who cares for old folks.

In Ohio, Judy and Jaden pick up Dajuan, a basketball dad who is supportive of all of his kids. In Louisiana, Tina and Darnell arrest Travis, who isn't much of a conversationalist. In North Carolina, John and Kay get to know aspiring author Rachel.
