Miranda is distressed by her inability to fully commit to Patricio. When she goes to speak with him, she finds him in a very compromising situation with her sister. However, they assure her that they were together to talk about her.

Miranda suffers several injuries as a result of the accident. Once she recovers, Alejandro takes her home. Patricio causes a scandal, leaving her shaken by the situation.

Ivonne tells Alejandro she is ready to be his wife, and he tries to avoid the situation, but she insists. Meanwhile, Rodrigo demands that Patricio get back together with Miranda.  

Alejandro tells Miranda that while she was unconscious he kissed her and asked her not to leave him. Patricio and Miranda have a confrontation about their relationship.

Bruno forces Sara to have relations with him, and she asks him for a divorce. Bruno reacts violently and makes sexist (machista) accusations. Meanwhile, Miranda demands that Patricio leave.

Miranda and Alejandro begin to feel an attraction to each other, even though he is committed to Ivonne. Later, Paula tells Miranda that Patricio is cheating on her, and she asks her to verify what she said. 

Patricio, despite being in a relationship with Paula, continues to try to win Miranda back. Joaquín meets Miranda and is surprised to learn that she is Sara's daughter. Paula offers Deborah money to seduce Patricio on her behalf. Rodrigo proposes to Sara. Miranda cannot stop thinking about Alejandro, and he himself experiences intimate moments with Ivonne.

Miranda and Alejandro, along with their partners, remember the kiss they shared. Additionally, Patricio tells her that he wants to marry her. On the other hand, Esther asks Sara to help Paula, since she is very resentful about how Bruno treats her.  

Miranda and Alejandro grow closer, and Alejandro gives her hope about starting a relationship, which leads Gabriel to confront him about his behavior with both Miranda and Ivonne. Andrés refuses to take responsibility for Roberta's pregnancy. Eugenio becomes angry when Regina accepts an invitation from Rodrigo. Meanwhile, Patricio discovers Miranda kissing Alejandro.

Patricio surprises Miranda and Alejandro kissing at her front door; they get into a fight, and she tells him that she is Alejandro's girlfriend and that she will no longer get back together with Patricio.

Alejandro asks Miranda to wait a while before they officially start their relationship so he can take care of an unresolved matter. She agrees as long as he isn't married and doesn't have children. Meanwhile, Esther has a serious talk with Sara about Paula.

Elena apologizes to Monica for her reaction the previous night; Monica argues with Gerardo; Tomás meets with Monica and denies selling the land.

At Esther's farewell party, she suddenly faints and everyone is alarmed. Later, she recovers and the celebration continues.  

Rodrigo causes a confrontation between Bruno and Sara, and although she tells him everything his supposed friend has done, she doesn't believe it. During Miranda's wedding, something unexpected happens.
