The documentary series on the Baneheia case will shed light on the investigation and legal process that led to the conviction of Jan Helge Andersen and Viggo Kristiansen. The first tip comes just three hours after the girls were found, when a man troops up to the police station in Kristiansand to tell about a suspicious man he saw in Baneheia the night before the murders.

The police arrest Jan Helge Andersen and Viggo Kristiansen after the discovery of a pubic hair at the scene. Jan Helge Andersen quickly confesses to having committed one of the murders, but says that Kristiansen was behind the assaults and the other murder. Interrogation experts from Norway and England analyze the interrogations. The police receive information about Kristiansen's past, which strengthens their suspicion against him. Spanish forensic scientists analyze samples secured from the victims, and the results are presented by the police as "secure evidence against Viggo Kristiansen".
