Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics - Season 6

Season 6
Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics is one of the most popular, informative and refreshingly honest car restoration formats on TV. In each episode the team eye up a few likely projects coming up at theMathewsons public auction, put their hands in the air and their money on the line.
"Do it for love not money" - Wise words from auctioneer Derek Mathewson becoming truer with every episode! Series 6 of Restoring Classics sees the team breathing new life into even the rustiest of motors. Derek Mathewson says, "I can't fault them for trying and they are proving that everyone can have a go at restoring a classic motor, but choose your vehicle wisely, take advice and expect to shed cash."
Holly Pywell, Series Producer says, "Being able to make money on Restoring Classics is, perhaps unsurprisingly, very hard! It's real money we pay for the cars and for hundreds of hours of labour which goes into putting them back on the road. But juggling restoration timelines with TV production schedules makes it that little bit trickier!"
The authentic renovation journey begins as the crew source cars and pay professional restorers to breathe new life into their purchases. Real cars, real restorations and a real honest enthusiasm. And when all the hard work is done and the car goes back into auction, there's real drama when the hammer comes down. Only then is the true cost of restoring some of Britain's best-loved classics revealed.
