Les tournages s'enchaînent. Agents, producteurs : l'entourage jubile. Brigitte manipule avec charme et habileté les journalistes, mais la notoriété est de plus en plus envahissante. Elle est aussi utile : Brigitte parvient à faire rentrer à Paris Jean-Louis, stationné en Allemagne, pour y terminer son service militaire loin de l'Algérie. Un appel de son idole, le chanteur Gilbert Bécaud, l'enchante : "Souhaitons ensemble une belle année 1957 aux Français de plus en plus nombreux qui ont la télévision." Après l'émission, les deux stars ont un coup de coeur. Jean-Louis se sent trahi. Mortifié, il quitte Brigitte malgré ses supplications et ses serments de fidélité.
