Episode 3

This week, we meet bargain-loving Clive and Sheila from Liverpool, who know every trick going to hang on to their pennies: they even got married at nine in the morning to save money! DIY king Clive knows how to upcycle stuff that other people chuck away. He's made a water feature out of an old biscuit tin, uses donated wood to make some tomato planters and gets payment in kind. They both know how to complain royally to get full value for money. In Hungerford, Jane's a legend in town, always coming up with a new hack to get people to cough up cash to bolster her meagre pension, whether it's busking or selling stuff she's found in local skips, or in one of her famous yard sales. Over in Kent, Suki has learned to get by growing her own veg, batch cooking and doing voluntary work at her local gurdwara, where she can get free meals, and using the outside sports facilities to keep fit, all for free. Meanwhile, young wannabe actress Jaasvi is living at home to save money before she hits the big time. She's learning how to save dosh on shopping trips with her bargain-hunting auntie as well as making money from old computers with the help of her dad.
