Carchar y Glannau, and the prisoner Barry Hardy picks up a bag of drugs from the floor after someone has dropped it: a decision that is going to change his life forever.

Barry comes under pressure for his ill-advised decision to sell the drugs he had discovered.

Pennod 3
Barry has to face the reality of working for Kit, and is visited by his little brother, Dale, who reveals that he is in financial trouble.

Pennod 4
Regretting his argument with Dale, and with Kit controlling him like a puppet, the pressure is too much for Barry and he turns to violent methods.

Pennod 5
Barry learns that his life is in danger because of the work he does for Kit, and when Dale comes in as a prisoner he is completely blown away.

Pennod 6
As Elin arrives at the prison carrying drugs for Kit, she is shocked to hear that the prison is being reviewed that day.
