Two mourners at a funeral have a specific modern day task in mind to mark the event. A group of friends gossip about each other behind their backs because they care. A woman brings her aged mother to check out a seniors' care facility. A group of senior executives discuss what is important in promoting one to their ranks. A diner has an interesting way of ordering her food, with unexpected results. An hour into a bank robbery, the robbers, already arguing about the process, get further sidetracked by their encounter with one of the hostages. In late eighteenth century England, a group of proper women at a conservatory ball are overcome by Mr. Bingleby for something other than his looks. An otherwise perfectly ladylike woman admits to her potential sexual partner that she likes it super dirty in the sheets. In conducting a raid of a drug dealer's den, the police get sidetracked by other things in the apartment. Two diners have problems trying to choose the perfect table at which to sit in a restaurant. A woman has a unique way of turning down a proposal of marriage without the rejection being her doing. A supposed avid reader wants to get caught up on the backlog of her magazine subscriptions. The Terror
The Terror is an American anthology television series exploring historical speculative fiction based on true events.
The series is named after Dan Simmons's 2007 novel, which serves as the basis for the first season and is a fictionalized account of Captain Sir John Franklin's lost expedition to the Arctic in 1845–1848.
The second season, subtitled Infamy, bears no relation to the book or first season and is mostly set in an American-run Japanese internment camp during World War II.

Shōgun
Shōgun is set in Japan in the year 1600 at the dawn of a century-defining civil war. Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.
