Season 1
Barry is a depressed, low-rent hitman from the Midwest. Lonely and dissatisfied in his life, he reluctantly travels to Los Angeles to execute a hit on an aspiring actor. Barry follows his "mark" into an acting class and ends up finding an accepting community in a group of eager hopefuls within the LA theater scene. He wants to start a new life as an actor, but his criminal past won't let him walk away - can he find a way to balance both worlds?

Chapter One: Make Your Mark
Barry is a disillusioned hitman from the Midwest. His handler, Fuches, sends him to LA to execute a hit for the Chechen mob, led by Goran Pazar and his right-hand man, NoHo Hank. Barry's target: an aspiring actor who is having an affair with Pazar's wife. Barry follows his "mark" into an acting class taught by beloved teacher/guru Gene Cousineau, and is instantly drawn to the group of students, especially Sally. Barry wants to start a new life in the class, but the criminal world won't let him walk away so easily.

Chapter Two: Use It
In the wake of some shocking news, Gene encourages his class to channel their feelings into their work. Meanwhile, resolved to quit his job and put the past behind him, Barry tries not to get pulled back in by Fuches and the Chechens; and Sally tries to crack the nut that is Barry.

Chapter Three: Make The Unsafe Choice
Barry fulfills an obligation, and comforts Sally after an audition gone awry. The Chechens welcome a hitman legend.

Chapter Four: Commit...To YOU
Barry finds that distancing himself from Fuches and the Chechens might be harder than he thought. Sally is dismayed to learn that an audition arranged by a prospective agent has strings attached. Gene promises Moss a bombshell, but only over dinner. Barry invites a Marine buddy and his two pals to a party given by his classmate Natalie, where Zach, a rising actor, threatens Barry's claim on Sally.

Chapter Five: Do Your Job
Barry looks to hit the reset button with Sally, but a scene from Macbeth triggers a reaction that pushes them farther apart. Moss moves to interrogate members of Gene's acting class after a shooting video surfaces. Barry finds himself in a quandary after having to team up with a reckless new acquaintance named Taylor in a dangerous mission to wipe out a group of Bolivians.

Chapter Six: Listen with Your Ears, React with Your Face
Barry tries to fly solo at a remote airstrip, but Taylor still wants in. Vacha looks to exact revenge on the man who killed his brother, despite Pazar's hands-off orders. Moss tries to end her association with Gene, but finds herself drawn to his classroom at a critical juncture. Sally lobbies for a major acting challenge.

Chapter Seven: Loud, Fast, and Keep Going
A deadly shootout threatens Barry's timely participation in Sally's big stage moment.

Chapter Eight: Know Your Truth
Barry vows to give up his life of crime, once and for all. Pazar enlists Vacha's replacement to take care of Fuches. Moss and her team close in on a major arrest with hopes of finally cracking the Madison case.

The Price is Right

The show will follow the couple, who were born and raised on the island, as they tackle substantial renos in one of the most expensive states in the country. Luckily, Tristyn and Kamohai can rely on a helping hand from their large family, which includes 87 first cousins, many of whom are in the construction industry.

The series is named after Dan Simmons's 2007 novel, which serves as the basis for the first season and is a fictionalized account of Captain Sir John Franklin's lost expedition to the Arctic in 1845–1848.
The second season, subtitled Infamy, bears no relation to the book or first season and is mostly set in an American-run Japanese internment camp during World War II.
