"Batya" is a 16-episode detective series about a distinguished operative, Lieutenant Colonel Stepan Trofimovich Bezbateko. After retiring, he hoped for a peaceful life, but his plans were drastically changed by the full-scale Russian invasion. After a year on the front lines and being wounded, Batya returns home. At the request of his daughter Lida, who works as a forensic expert, he agrees to help a young investigator solve a complicated murder case. Batya had no idea that this investigator was his son-in-law. After the truth came to light, the conflicts between the young and ambitious Yulian Synytskyi and the experienced operative only intensified. Will they be able to put their emotions aside to expose the criminals and save their family?
