The captains face off to passionately mentor, inspire and nurture teams of specialty pitmasters from all over America. Nine barbecue masters are ready to brawl, and their first challenge is to introduce themselves and their BBQ in hopes of being picked by their favorite team captain. Bobby Flay, Anne Burrell and Jet Tila make their selections, and the competitors face off in the first team brawl with high stakes ... and a major twist!
BBQ Games
After a big team shake-up in the first episode, the pitmasters could use a day of team-building with their new captains. It's all about BBQ games as captains Bobby Flay, Anne Burrell and Jet Tila lead their teams in working together and communicating while racing to the finish line.
Backyard BBQ
It's time to celebrate where every BBQ master begins: at home on the grill. Captains Bobby Flay, Anne Burrell and Jet Tila know that just about everyone gets their start in the backyard, so the competitors showcase their skills in sticky situations that home grillers must master!

A true Master of 'Cue must know their BBQ history. The competitors have to dig deep to pass the ultimate old-school BBQ test under the watchful eyes of captains Bobby Flay, Anne Burrell and Jet Tila.
You Gotta Beef With Me?!
A true Master of 'Cue must be able to answer that age-old question, "Where's the beef??" In this all-beef challenge, the teams led by captains Bobby Flay, Anne Burrell and Jet Tila are tasked with making a variety of beef-focused dishes that test their expertise with both small and large cuts.
Not Your Average 'Cue
Hogs, cows and chickens get all the press, but in truth, anything can be smoked or grilled, and different locations can produce some unusual 'cue. The teams led by Bobby Flay, Anne Burrell and Jet Tila are challenged to master unconventional BBQ ingredients and show their true potential.

A true Master of 'Cue knows how to communicate and reach BBQ lovers wherever they are. Social media is one of the best ways for aspiring BBQ cooks to find new recipes and inspiration, so to make it into the finale, the teams led by Bobby Flay, Anne Burrell and Jet Tila must prove that they know how to cook -- and connect -- on social.

The three finalists have one more chance to prove themselves worthy of the title of Master of 'Cue. In the last challenge, team captains Bobby Flay, Anne Burrell and Jet Tila watch as the competitors go all out to impress the judges -- and deal with some curve balls along the way.
