Marc and Zane battle to win the top prize in ribs to qualify for the BBQ State Championship. Meanwhile, small-town student Emery hustles at practice as her future hinges on perfecting her chicken skin to win scholarships.
David vs. Goliath
After qualifying for State, Zane's team struggles to stay engaged at their next competition and his coaches find creative ways to teach them. Meanwhile, an overly large chicken may cost Emery her future and a chance to go to her dream college.

Marc takes steps towards his future while Zane stands at a crossroads. Meanwhile, Team Seriously Smokin' hustles to pay for State, and new student Cami tries to figure out how to perfect her dessert.
Journey to the State Championship
Emery comes up with a new method to finally get her chicken skin crispy. Cami gets advice from a pastry chef and Marc works to perfect the spice on his ribs while Zane returns to the basics in the final weeks before the High School BBQ State Championship.
The Final Showdown
Tempers and temperatures flare up as all the hard work over the past year culminates at the Texas High School BBQ State Championship as four seniors battle 100 schools for the ultimate bragging rights for best in the state and scholarships!
