Lilith Fair

In the summer of 1997, Canadian singer/songwriter Sarah McLachlan launched an event that would surpass Lollapalooza as the most successful concert tour of the year. Against all odds, the women-only Lilith Fair lineup sold out arenas across the country. When the dust settled, Lilith had shown the world a different side of rock, challenging the short-sighted old-school attitude that girls don't sell records.
