Young fashion designer Julia is determined to get in touch with her father, Vincenzo, who she'd assumed to be dead for many years. When Vincenzo refuses to speak to her on the phone, she heads to Turin, Italy, to see him in person. But their meeting goes badly. Vincenzo, who relocated with his mother to Germany in the early 1970s as a young and bright-eyed boy, has broken all ties to the country. And Julia wants to find out why.
