Marina Baikova is a widow and mother of two children. Anna Cherepanova is 44 years old and lives in Vladivostok. She has a grown-up daughter who already lives on her own and a mum who suffers from a serious illness. Anna has a difficult life: she spends almost all her time caring for her mum and because of this she was forced to sell her business.

Because of loneliness and fatigue Anna almost fell into depression, but the salvation was an acquaintance with 42-year-old Andrei. Soon the woman realised that Andrei was the man she wanted to tie her life with. But at the age of 44 Anna was not ready for pregnancy....

Tatiana is married for the second time and has 4 children. For 10 years she and her husband have not been able to conceive a child, and now, at the age of 45, Tatiana finds out that she is pregnant. However, the joyful event is overshadowed by disturbing news: the woman's youngest daughter is not happy about her brother, and doctors suspect a serious pathology in Tatiana's fifth child....
