They wait until their victims take to the beach, creep up and steal room keys, make copies of them in a converted, ice-cream barrow, and then toddle over the boardwalk to do their dastardly deeds in the hotel.

Meanwhile Max, who is searching for his would-be killer, merely lifts the keys from the chambermaid's trolley when he wants to search a room. When he finds a case that contains a guitar and not the rifle expected, he drops the instrument back. (Brian Courtis)
