A tale steeped in mystery and deception, Black Widow tells the story of how three male victims were deceived, defrauded, and abused by Dena before she was finally caught and sent to prison in 2003. Following Dena's release in 2022, her victims, as well as the police officers involved in the case, have decided to tell their cautionary tale about one of the worst cases of abuse and coercive control by a woman in British history.
Episode 3
The final act of the Black Widow's scheme takes a final, unbelievable, twist. Richard, Dena's third husband, is the last man to fall into her web. When the police finally execute a warrant for Dena's arrest, the race is on to gather enough evidence to prosecute her. And as detectives begin to connect the dots, the true extent of the Black Widow's cruel game is revealed: multiple victims, over many years – lives ruined without remorse.
