A patient's life is put at risk when she becomes a victim of hospital politics. Rob must decide what comes first - his career or his morals.

Episode 2
Rob Lake prepares to work his last days at the hospital. But without him there, will Roger Hurley be left unopposed to continue endangering and maybe even killing patients?

Episode 3
When Roger uses an emergency case to try and humiliate fellow consultant Tony, Rob is forced to prove where his loyalty lies.

Episode 4
When Hurley doesn't bother to answer his pager, Rob is left desperately battling to save the life of a woman and her unborn twins. Pressure mounts on Donna as she tries to balance her professional with her personal life - now that her husband knows about her affair, can she continue her relationship with Rob?

Episode 5
Donna decides to join forces with Whitman to destroy Roger Hurley's career. Rob must decide whether or not he is willing to help her, even if it means standing back and letting a patient die. Tim discovers that one of Whitman's patients might not be quite as dead as she may have first seemed.

Episode 6
Whitman describes any medical procedure performed by Roger Hurley as high risk, so what will happen when the hospital's new High Risk Pregnancy Unit opens and brings with it the most difficult births in the whole region? Rob and Polly become rivals when a new position on the Unit is announced. Donna finally accepts that her marriage is over.

Episode 7
Maya plans to seduce Hurley at a medical conference. Rob battles with Hurley over the care of a woman carrying quintuplets. And Whitman takes a fancy to a medical student much to Chrissy's disapproval.

Episode 8
Polly discovers that she is pregnant and has to decide between her baby and her career. In the face of management's allegations, Whitman will do anything to clear his name. Hurley fights to quash the rumours about his brief encounter with Maya.

Episode 9
Polly finds out her research trial may have some very serious side effects. The gossip spreading about his encounter with Maya puts Hurley's career and marriage at risk. Donna considers leaving the hospital, but does Rob love her enough to go too?

Episode 10
A tragic labour pulls Rob and Hurley closer together, while management finally make a decision about who they want as clinical director. Hurley must decide to save his marriage or Maya's career, and Rob decides whether to leave the hospital with Donna.

Accompanied by Peggy Scott, an accomplished African-American woman, Marian inadvertently becomes enmeshed in a social war between one of her aunts, a scion of the old money set, and her stupendously rich neighbors, a ruthless railroad tycoon and his ambitious wife, George and Bertha Russell.
In this exciting new world that is on the brink of the modern age, will Marian follow the established rules of society, or forge her own path?
