In Colorado, an unpredictable armed ex-convict takes his family hostage and threatens to kill them and himself. In Florida, a gas station robbery leads to a life-threatening attack on a police officer and a night-time manhunt in the woods.

Seconds from Death
An armed robber starts a deadly shootout on a city bus in Maryland. A California police officer races to drag a man from a wheelchair stuck on a train level crossing. In Ohio, police officers attempt to rescue a woman trapped inside a raging house fire.

No Surrender
A car crash ignites a fireball that threatens a Maryland officer making a traffic stop. In Ohio, an armed burglar hides in a closet, and officers must smoke him out. In Texas, an officer confronts a wanted felon who suddenly pulls a gun on him.

Smoking Gun
In Florida, a man is shot dead with a single bullet to the chest. It looks like a murder, but the inquiry takes a surprising turn. In Oklahoma, a high-speed pursuit turns rescue mission as the chase ends in a fiery crash.

Flash Point
An undercover agent buying drugs and guns from Florida gangs finds himself at the wrong end of the barrel. A young mom and her kids are about to be swept away by a sudden torrent, and a truck plows recklessly through rural Ohio.

Near Miss
A Washington State car chase ends with a shootout and a K9 fighting for its life. Pensacola police officers attempt CPR on a drowned 3-year-old girl, and a convoy of Ohio police cruisers screams through downtown Columbus in pursuit of their own car.

Man Down
In Indiana, an armed gunman terrorizes a VFW bingo hall. In Ohio, a shoplifter with a taser leaves a path of destruction in her wake. In northern Kentucky, a routine arrest spins out of control, leaving an officer fighting for his life.

Manhunt
In Colorado, a terrifying home invasion leads to a car chase and gunfight with police, resulting in a fatality; in New Mexico, a known criminal holds up a convenience store and then takes officers on a life-threatening car chase.

Crisis
In Utah, a traffic stop escalates to a runaway car dragging a police officer at high speeds. In Georgia, a woman gives birth during a car crash, but nobody can find the baby. In Oklahoma, an attempted break-in leads to a van hijacking and a car chase.

Beyond the Gates
Beyond the Gates is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington D.C., and in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States. Here you'll find a posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions to call home. At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty. But behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered. And those that live outside these gates are watching closely. These are the places where our characters live, love, work and play. Those who have "made it" and those who haven't are all trying to navigate life … and some with more grace than others.

The Ministry of Time
The Ministry of Time, a newly established government department, is gathering ‘expats' from across history in an experiment to test the viability of time-travel. Commander Graham Gore (an officer on Sir John Franklin's doomed 1845 Arctic expedition) is one such figure rescued from certain death – alongside an army captain from the fields of the Somme, a plague victim from the 1600s, a widow from revolutionary France, and a soldier from the seventeenth century.
The expats are placed with 21st century liaisons, known as 'bridges', in unlikely flatshares. Gore has to learn about contemporary life from scratch: from air travel to industrial warfare, from feminism to Spotify, from cinema to indoor plumbing; and he must negotiate cohabiting with the ambitious modern woman who works as his bridge. After an awkward beginning, the pair start to find pleasure and comfort in each other's company, developing a relationship that is simultaneously tender, intense and profoundly unprofessional; and the expats, adrift in a new era, form friendships that ground and support them in the lonely 21st century, where they have outlived everyone they ever knew and loved.
When a deeper conspiracy at the Ministry begins to reveal itself, the bridge must reckon with what she does next. Will she save or sacrifice the exiled misfits she has come to care for so deeply?
