Gerardo must remove a ring biting into cockatoo Hector's ankle. The Shens face grumpy cat Reubens. Alex tackles a missing sock mystery and a grumpy Burmese called Simba. Tim needs all hands on deck to help weigh massive tortoise Hugo.

Poppy has been viciously attacked by a bigger dog. Alex fears deep punctures could threaten major organs. Tim must save koala Poppy who can't care for her baby. Audrey and Alison try to find out why rescue cat Candy can't stand up.

Alex desperately tries to save Roxy after the little dog was crushed by a giant python. Alison is touched by rescue cat Rupert. The young stray has something seriously wrong with his eyes. Pet sheep Kellie has been brought into Kate's Bondi hospital needing some delicate surgery.
